Thanks, I was looking for you out there. I saw Nathan and talked with him for a bit. Here is a couple of more pics from the event on Sunday.

The header ended up taking a nasty shot under braking when we hit a bump, I am debating on getting it fixed and having a skid plate made for it. This isnt the first time ive smashed it.

Little bit of an update. The car at times would blow a puff of smoke during the transition from off to on throttle after braking. I replaced the valve seals. Cylinder walls look great not even a scratch, which surprised me a bit considering the amount of abuse this engine has taken.

Man that looks like so much fun! I can't wait to finish mine up so I can start doing the NASA events here in Phoenix. Car looks beautiful, and much safer now

I have quite a few updates since my last post. Good news and bad news, first the good, I have since bought a truck and trailer to tow the car. 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 and a 16' diamond plate tandem axle trailer. Really pleased with both, it is so nice to have peace of mind if anything happens at the track I am getting home.

The bad news is I have sold my DA, the H23 and DA chassis is not what I need moving forward. It found a good home with a mature buyer so I am pleased. It was tough to see it go after 8 years of ownership but all good things must come to an end. I am moving on to a DC2 Integra with plans to run Honda Challenge H2 next year. I have just finishing building a B16A to put in the new Integra.

            Some specs on the B16A:
            -B16A2 block bored to 81.75mm
            -micropolished crank
            -Baffled oil pan
            -Brand new PR3 pistons
            -ARP Headstuds
            -New OE oil pump
            -Toda valve springs
            -01 ITR cams
            -B16A2 Intake Manifold
            -PLM Toda Rep header

H2 class limits B16 horsepower to 165whp, this setup should surpass that figure easily.

With that being said I will still update this thread with my progress to at least contribute to the website.

Here is the last pic I have of me driving it.

I'd been wondering if you'd sold it. Sad to see her go, but I'm glad its because you're pursuing a more serious level of racing

It's definitely tough. I've had a DA integra for the past 12 years. But with the H series minimum weight in H2 at 2650, I would lose my ass in handling and braking when the B16 guys are at 2250. Also I would be going through brakes and tires like crazy. The other issue is the lack of readily available aero and high end suspension parts. The DA is at a significant disadvantage. I mean can you make it competitive? Sure. Is it worth it, no.

I bought a new Integra. It's a 1994 Integra RS. Came with a semi built B18B, ITR pistons, Crower valvetrain and stage 2 cams. But the best part is it has an ITR transmission that was purchased new from Acura and has 10,000 miles on it. The car is a perfect fit for what I needed, the B18B makes 159/127 and is pretty snappy I will run the next several events with that engine then swap in the B16 for the last event before comp school. The car also has Koni/GC and an ASR 24mm, there are a bunch of other goodies on it as well. I have an event coming June 11-12. Can't wait.

Had a great time at Summit this weekend. Got a ride in Hufflepuff's DA, still so fast haha. New car is a night and day difference. DA Integra's are great as far as sentimental value, but this DC really hauls the mail. Chopped 2 seconds off my fastest previous lap with R comp tires, rear aero, 200lbs less, but 40 less HP and stock size brakes.

Bit of an update to say the least. I made it to racing in the HPD Honda Challenge series with NASA. I am doing pretty well, I have 2 wins and 2 poles, and set a qualifying track record so far this year. Wheel to wheel racing by far is the most fun thing you can do with a car. It takes a massive commitment but its well worth it. Here are some pictures of the car, and if you guys have any questions about how to get involved in getting your car on track I'll happily answer them.
