Only had mine for 7 years, first car aswell. I don't know if ill ever get rid of it.
I can't wait for the wheels to show up. The car already looks a whole lot better being lowered a little more.

You'll regret it if you do. THe newer cars are nice with all the bells and whistles, but the just don't feel the same as driving the 90's Hondas.

    • Again very clean! Did you redo the leather seats? They look a little baggy. Looks better than factory. Mine is original and looks a little tighter than yours.

Yes I did. They have tightened up since then. These pictures were about a month after doing them. Yours still look like new for factory leather. What do you use on them to clean and protect?

        • Been using Lexol products Cleaner and conditioner for years. At first I used the liquid form where you pour in on a rag then wipe. Then they came out with the wipes. And those are very convienant.

          • That is what I used to use. I switched to Griot's products about 5 years ago. The leather smell after applying it makes it smell like a new car again. I can only wish.

                    • Just found out that my wheels aren't coming yet. The finish came out wrong on them so it will at least be another 3 months of waiting. That is after I was told that they were already on the boat on their way here.

I'm debating on buying a different set of wheels now. Any suggestions? I'm looking for a lightweight 16".

If you plan on removing greddy id be interested in purchasing it to rebuild. Lmk
old Greddy is starting to surface rust really bad

Start looking for an NSX. You won't regret it.

I'll keep you in mind if I ever sell it.

                          • Another year gone by. It's 23 today! I finally got my new wheels installed at the end of last summer. I went with Volk CE28 Club Racers in a 16x7 size. It makes the car feel a lot lighter on it's feet with the weight loss from the 17's. After fighting with SSR forever, it still took almost 5 months for the Volks to arrive. Then it was on to tires. I got Bridgestone re-11's in a 205-45-16. I have to say, these tires put the old ones to shame for road feel. The sloppiness I felt in the sidewalls are all about gone with these. Also, these are a lot quieter which is nice.

I also lowered it with ground control coilovers. I really like the look with it a little lower, but the ride is terrible now even with extended top hats on all 4 corners. I think it's time to find a good set of full coilovers for the track. The problem is finding a good set. I'm not too worried about the cost, it's just having a company that makes good ones now. Also, I'm crashing into the wheel wells with the top of my a-arms now also. I'm thinking it's maybe just the camber kits, but i'm not nearly as low as most of the cars I see around.

I fixed my exhaust leak that I had. It was hard to figure that one out. It would get loud going up a hill under load when the exhaust heated up, and then immediately quiet down after. I got it on a rack and had to sit there a rev it while someone was looking. It was the resonator. It was cracked around the pipe that came out of the back. I took it off and ground down all of the surface rust and it welded right up. Not to bad for exhaust from the 90's. I wish Greddy would make exhaust like this again.

I also just rebuilt the original starter. The contacts had gone bad it in after 23 years. They were worn almost all of the way thru. I put the new ones in, and it's good to go now.

On the the pics. I still haven't got a proper shoot with the new wheels, so my terrible ones will have to do.

                            • Just came across this thread, and I must say...congrats on your original ownership! Kinda reminds me of my own story in that I also had an Integra back in the day, but sold it after 7 years and moved on to an E36 M3, which I've kept ever since (going on 19 years!).

But I still miss my Integra, and if I could have afforded to keep her and buy the M3, then I definitely would have done so. Alas, the Integra is long gone, but as I mentioned in another thread, if I ever came across a clean low-mile unmolested GS-R, I'd grab it in a heartbeat! Great job on keeping yours super clean, although I personally would have gone with the Mugen kit long before the Wings West one (and ditch the stock wing for the 3-piece AMS). Beautiful regardless! Here's a pic of my baby just a few months before selling her...*sigh*.

                              • I love the E36. It is an awesomw track car. I've driven a few at the track and I just love how solid they feel.

Keep looking for a low mileage one. Someone has to have one stuufed away in their garage somewhere.

I would ahve loved to get the Mugen Kit. It was just way over my price budget at the time. I'm kicking myself for not getting it then. I still have the the catalog with the list of stuff that I wanted back in the day.

Maybe you can find your old one and buy it back.
