If it wasn't possible, then I wouldn't have done it.

Just because you can't figure out how to do it, doesn't mean its impossible.

MANY of us have done it.

I will be MORE specific then. It is NOT possible with a LARGE c clamp like mine. I got a 3" c clamp and it worked fine. I could not figure out how to get my c clamp in there because it was not possible in any way therefore it IS impossible with a 6" c clamp.
